Three (3) Ways To Boost Your Affiliate Commissions Overnight

Top 3 Ways To Boost Your Affiliate Commissions Overnight

Business10

To become an affiliate marketer does not require having your own website, you don’t have to deal with customers, refunds, product development or maintenance. Sounds too good to be true? Well, it’s true and this is one of the easiest ways of launching yourself as an Affiliate Marketer and starting your own online internet marketing business so you can start to earn a living as an affiliate!

Assuming you already have an affiliate program to work with, what would be the next thing you would want to do? Double, or even triple, your commissions, right? How do you do that?

Here are some powerful tips on how to boost your affiliate program commissions overnight.

1. Know the best program and products to promote. Obviously, you will want to promote a program that can or will help you to achieve as much return as possible in the shortest time possible.

You will need to consider several factors when you are about to select any affiliate program. Choose the programs that have a generous commission structure. You can earn from as little as 50% up to 75% with ClickBank for example. Choose a product that fits perfectly with your niche & the target market. Probably the most important bit…associate yourself with programs where you KNOW you will get paid and on time, for example, ClickBank & Amazon…the BIG boys for people looking to buy stuff! Not only do they have squeaky clean reputations, they pay on time and they have thousands if not hundreds of thousands of product you can choose from.

Because there are thousands of affiliate programs online you can afford to be picky and choosy! If you stick with the big names you can’t go wrong!

Write free reports or short ebooks to distribute from your site. There is a great possibility that you are competing with other affiliates that are promoting the same program. If you start writing short reports related to the product you are promoting, you’ll be able to distinguish yourself from the other affiliates. Find a point of difference!

In the reports, provide some valuable information for free. If possible, add some recommendations about the products. With ebooks, you get credibility. Customers will see that in you and they will be enticed to try out what you are offering.

2. Collect and save all the email addresses from those who download your free ebooks. It is a known fact that people rarely make a purchase on the first visit to a website. You will need to send out your message more than 6 – 10 times before the buyer decides to push the PAY button.

Your main objective should be to collect at least a first name, email address and a mobile / cell number for those who have downloaded your reports and ebooks. You can make follow-up email messages to these contacts so they are reminded  to make the purchase from you. This process can be set up with an autoresponder account with any number of email marketing countries. I will go into this with much more depth in another post.

Get the contact information of a prospect before sending them to the vendor’s website. Keep in mind that you are providing free advertisement for the product owners. You get paid only when you make a sale. If you send prospects directly to the vendors, chances are they would be lost  forever… and of course, you will lose your commission! The sellers of their products will supply you with an ID link which ensures there is no doubt the sale is directly paid to you!

And when you have got their names, you can always send them more email  marketing messages which can all be set up on autopilot.

You could think about publishing an online newsletter or grab 5 minutes and have a look at this  address

www.ezine.com

Ezine is a FREE membership site where you will be able to find thousands of articles on just about any product under any category!

It is always best to recommend a product to someone you know rather than to sell to a stranger. This is the purpose behind publishing your own newsletter. This also allows you to develop a relationship based on trust with your subscribers.

This strategy has a delicate balance between providing useful information with a sales pitch. If you continue to write informative editorials you will be able to build a sense of reciprocity in your readers that will hopefully lead them to purchase more of your products & services.

3. Ask for higher than normal commission from merchants. If you are already a successful affiliate marketer, you could try and approach the merchant and negotiate a percentage commission for your sales.

If the merchant is smart, he or she will likely grant your request rather than lose you. Keep in mind that you are a zero-risk investment to your merchant, so don’t be shy about requesting for an increase in the commission split. Be reasonable…if you don’t ask to you don’t get!

Give these 3 strategies some thought…don’t ever forget you’re running a business. Even if you only try 2 of these strategies then you are going to see a difference in your profits fairly quickly!

Some really valuable information here Stephen. I can now see the value in writing my ebook to get more newsletter subscribers. In terms of the Merchants – I hadn’t even thought of asking for a higher commission – that is gold! Thanks so much!

    Hey, Stephen!

Thanks for the article…especially appreciated the information about ezine.com, as it isn’t possible to get enough exposure out there for our work.

I have to admit to being rather lax on the side of email marketing. I decided awhile back to give my sites time to flesh out a bit before going for a “hard press” on gathering names.

I have several e-books in progress, but I won’t release them until they are the best out there on the respective subjects.

    Thanks again, for the insights!

    Respectfully,

      Howdy…thanks for your feedback…
I am just about to ramp up my email marketing campaign…am lucky to have a reasonable database.
There will be quite a few posts soon about email marketing…I have done quite an extensive course with GetResponse & Aweber, but I want to actually send a promotion out first so I can better relate my personal experience…
      All the best to you…
